Alright everyone, check it out!  What is this strange device I’m holding in my hands?  Is it the visor from Star Trek?  What’s the difference between bone conduction headphones vs normal headphones?  I’ve been so curious about these, I had to order them and have the experience for myself.

First off, these are a new release on Amazon and is titled as Bone Conduction Headphones, yet the company name and other more descriptive text has been omitted from the listing which is a little confusing for people trying to search for this specific model online.  The brand is actually called Yakiee, which is yet another new Chinese company looking to acquire a share of the market.  As commerce in China has been increasing, the quality has been improving as well while still maintaining a very affordable price.  If you’re looking for the best that money can buy, this is not the answer, however, it is a strong contender when comparing the overall value of similar products at the same price.

The headphones come in three different color options:

  • Black
  • White
  • Red

It also comes with a USB to micro charging wire as well as a short and easy to follow instruction manual.  The headphones need to be charged up for 3 hours before use and deliver 6 hours of continuous power, 30 hours in idle mode, which is more than enough for average use throughout the day.  The bluetooth connection is maintained up to 33 feet away from the pairing device.  These headphones are very easy to pair to a phone and connect right away.  There is also guided voice direction that allows the user to know what to do, which makes the manual, though useful, not necessary.

Bone Conduction Headphones vs Normal ImageThe headphones are worn near the ears for an open ear experience with the head band resting on the back of your head.  This is the main difference of bone conduction headphones vs normal headphones.  This allows the user to still hear outside sounds as well as the music and or phone conversation audible from the speakers positioned next to the ears.  There is also a microphone with noise cancelation technology which provides enhanced audio quality to the person listening on the other end.  Watch the video for the full report and if you’re interested in purchasing, select your desired color by clicking on the links above.
